Kiddush:
Weather permitting, Kiddush will be served in the outdoor atrium. During Kiddush we ask that people not crowd or congregate around the table and please take turns with a maximum of 5 people at a time filling their plates or drinks. Utensils should not be shared. Social distancing should be maintained.

COVID -19 Safety Protocols
The Mesa Shul of Santa Barbara is adhering to the following safety protocols inclusive of the Jewish Federation and CDC requirements:
  • Federation requires everyone to be masked—regardless of vaccination status.
  •  MSSB will follow the following protocols for davening:
    • Ideally, social distancing (6 feet) should be maintained. We encourage only family members sit next to one another.
    • Weather permitting, we will have the sliding doors open to the atrium allowing for those who feel more comfortable sitting inside or outside to have the option.  Services should be audible for all.
    • Aliyot will be taken from where you are sitting. No one will come up to the Torah (to protect the person leyning.)
    • Ba’al T’filla should be masked. Care should be taken to chant away from the congregation.
  • If you have a yahrzeit we will have one “el mole rachamin” for men and one for women, recited by the chazan or leader. Each mourner will be given the opportunity to say the person’s name at the appropriate time.
  • Handshaking and hugging are discouraged.
  • Anyone who is feeling ill should please stay home and not come to Shul.
It is our priority to ensure the safety and health of all our members so that you can enjoy the service and concentrate on making it spiritual and meaningful. Please address any questions or concerns to mshhservices@gmail.com
